We went out in a stinker yesterday from Sandy (beach launch) to the 'Light'. Current is screaming from the north (water temp 22.5C), flocks of flying fish everywhere and many very hungry rat kings about. The pros were lead lining and pulling in some horses but we didn't have any livies. Didn't see one whale this time so maybe the migration has ended? Curious to see how you guys go at Arras.

Found four nice reds before the storm hit at 8 am for me and one red for Steve anh he got smoked when something grabbed his live bait and headed for the horizon

There was some big bait schools but they were only white bait. No slimmies.
The reds were caught on the red/white halco’s.

Great session out there this morning.
Highlight for me - other then getting smoked by something very big and very fast - was watching Simon on a double hookup as the rain belted down in a sun shower. And yes, he landed both.
A bit damp out there but well worth it.
Cheers
Steve.

I had a late start out of Diggers , caught bait converted it to a shark in the middle of a downpour and had a general clue as to where diggers was and played a mental game of paddle home only to find I was paddling along the coast as the wind in the squall was from a different direction . Was good to have gps as I was not even 500m from land and not able to see a headland .
