ART by Denzo titled The Angry Sea

Postby the pink panther » Sat Jul 31, 2010 7:39 pm

What is Art? What is 'energy'? What is the colour I see that is called --green---is it the same green you see.
Energy can be the power we use to move our Yaks - it can be the electricity we cook our fish with.........it can also be the energy the emotions that Art stirs within us..........My art is changing (I am changing too) and I am just another artist who paints from the inner self and emotions. We all change through our life but when there is a major shift in thinking and living we all expect change --as it is expressed in our tastes........Please enjoy the following posts as I have and reworded this to pay tribute to two of the great artists' I am inspired by--Judy Cassab and Grace Cossington Smith.
Being inspired is not to copy but be influenced by though that influence is often not seen.

Good Mate,

Glad I wasn't out there in my yak LOL.

Gael is a "realist" artist and she seems to be specialising in portraits at the moment although has done some nice botanical stuff and more recently landscapes. Her teacher Jan Long is very much a realist. I take a few wildlife photos.

Thanks for posting that denzo.

No worries Denzo,

Art is such a subjective thing isn't it and even in the style that Gael embraces there are so many facets, mediums etc. It's a great thing to do!

Here's a couple I did 2 (or was it 3) years ago of two of my favourite yak fishing spots.

My painting has changed a lot now (they were the third and fifth painting I had ever done). They're about 1m long x 30cm

Denzo, Fair Dinkum!

How embarrasing!

This is an example of the natural beauty that surrounds us here on our farm. The sun was rising behind our bush, mist was rising off the dam illuminated by the rising sun and Mr. Butcher Bird happened to land on some post and rail at that moment so I ran and grabbed the camera. I take a lot of photos here and if you take enough some turn out alright.

How lucky are we to have nature in all it's splendor out of every window?

Currently I'm saving for a new digital SLR camera so I need you all to tell Mrs Digger I need it to be able to take decent photos....speak up, she's in the other room.

Denzo I'm gonna get even with you...........

This rewrite I asked digger for some seascape pics. Landscapes are of land and Seascapes are of water. AND then he went and did what he said he could not do---------a picture says a thousand words but where are the words to describe the picture.

Thanks Den & SR,

Seascapes are an impossibility without that new Canon EOS camera I'm saving for....my current camera just wouldn't cut it! Sorry you have to tell Mrs. Digger I need that new camera!! Then we'll see!

look what the girls got me for my birthday.

Image

Shutter - 1/1000
Aperture - 4.5
ISO - 400

Dedicated marco lens ... using the EOS 1000D. Now those creepy crawlies will never be safe.

cheers,
