Hi Dodge, I just did a search to find the trip in the Chinderah area that I really enjoyed. It was on February 20th 2012 but according to the chatter before it, you were unlikely to go. Not sure what the tide was but we launched from Old Boat Harbour Park on Fingal Road and then paddled in a group across the Tweed River towards the Cooloongatta/Tweed Heads Golf Club. We fished all around Tony’s Island. Not sure how many turned up but Slim was definitely there plus John (Silver) and I think maybe even Toni turned up. If you scroll down (moves map out further towards the mouth) on your map you’ll see where I’m talking about. Not sure how good it would be though if the tide was running quickly. Regards Bill

Yes as you said I missed the Fingal trip mentioned, but have launched and fished out of the Fingal boat harbour before. inclined to think Fingal will be visited in 2018 but only time will tell.

But this outing has no connection with Fingal, it is being held at Chinderah.

3 earlier club trips held, 2 at Chinderah ramp, and another further upstream a few hundred meters, also produced fish and tide is good for the outing date.

Bill, think this would be the area you mention in the quote, picture when seen this year

No club trips are planned for the weekend at this stage Bob, but something may happen in 2018.

In the meantime as well as watching the GCNR Club page, keep an eye on this section for member planned fishing trips...

Coordinated Fishing Trips http://www.kfdu.com.au/forum/viewforum.php?f=9 .......... also put up a trip on there yourself as someone may join you on the day

While keen to go to this outing, the present forecast is not looking too good.

So final decision will be a late one after seeing what happens, will post my intention on Tuesday morning

Anything other than pretty good will rule me out as I have lots to do in Brisbane. I like your weather site and have saved it to favourites. Bill

I am pulling the pin for me on this outing.

The forecasters are still predicting showers, and with a total travel time of 90 minutes to possibly get wet as a shag, just does not appeal.

If fishing at all, will now go closer to home where I can dry out quicker afterwards.

OK Dodge,I agree with you on this one. Don't like the look of the wind either. I'll probably give it a miss this week altogether.
