Mid Week statistics after completion of 2 full years

Postby Dodge » Mon Dec 19, 2016 10:56 am

The end of 2016 sees the completion of two full years of holding the MW club outings which started February 2015, they were planned to have get regular togethers of shift workers, retired and semi retired KFDU members, with a locked in date of second Wednesday each month [except January].

MWs started as fishing only but now include a BBQ where members pay for supplies and have a yarn and a few laughs together.

Looking back shows some interesting outing stats.

With January out each year, there have been 22 outings listed to date.

11 different locations have been visited, some a couple of times.

3 cancellations... 2 because of bad weather on the day, and another when with only 2 starters accepting [Dodge and jumaji] they chose to not travel to the venue and fish in home waters instead.

19 times the MW was held, and on about 3 or 4 of those occasions the wind did not play ball and conditions were rugged. The toughest to get right is Howard St, a good place to catch fish but very open when the wind is wrong.

Attendance at the MWs has been regular with 2 starters the lowest, and 15 starters the most [twice at Hinze Dam] without doing a count, it is probably about a half dozen on most outings.

Will go into the third year using the present format, unless someone proposes another variation but note, dates will not be altered.
