MW4.17...GCNR Outing Wed 12 April @Paradise Point

Postby Dodge » Tue Mar 28, 2017 7:25 am

Next Mid Week monthly outing for GC/NRKFC members and guests ...... held the second Wednesday each month [except January].

NOTE: Due to the recent bad weather and flotsam suggest this month is best just left as a social get together and have the usual sausage sizzle etc, about 11am.

Anyone keen on going on the water can make there own decision and just come ashore for a snag later .... please indicate in a reply your intention so others know.

LOCATION: The venue is ESPLANADE [near Errol Ave intersection] PARADISE POINT, GC

https://goo.gl/maps/uxW2a

DATE: WEDNESDAY APRIL 12, 2017 there will be no postponements or date changes due to weather, you alone decide your attendance

LAUNCH TIME: This is your own choice so suit yourself as it is not a competition.

RETURN ASHORE: About 11am so members can have a yarn together before going home.

SAUSAGE SIZZLE BBQ [minimum 5 starters required for this to be be held]. Free this month, paid from mid week kitty ....BYO DRINKS

If you intend coming along add your name to this thread after the location is known no later than Sunday 9th, so others know and enough BBQ supplies can be bought, and for new members there are no formalities other than posting you are coming along.

The next mid week outing MW5.17 will be held May 10, 2017

Will be along as usual, but at this stage will just come along near 11am for a snag sanger and a yarn with others who front.

If there is a radical improvement in conditions might launch, but unlikely.

I'll be there for a yarn and a snag , doubt if I'll wet a line tho unless the water clears a lot. Will make a decision [about fishing] the day before.

With no fishing activity this post will serve as the MW4.17 outing report......... After some late cancellations it meant only the Fleetfeet crew, jumaji, and Dodge were there for the social BBQ.

Thanks also to Paul who chipped in a few dollars for the club MW kitty.

Although few in number it was a good social occasion with a snag sanger, and some discussion was held re future weekend activities for the group, these suggestions will be posted at a later time after having a yarn with retiring club coordinator Toni.
