#1 Post by blanchy » Thu Jan 25, 2018 9:46 pm

hi yakkers

thinking about taking the Mrs out again over weekend but im expecting a lot of boat traffic so thinking of trying the canals around Coomera.... apart from the boat ramp near the M1, is there any other spots that you can launch the yaks.... hoping to get into canals near the M1

any ideas????

thanks

There used to be a ramp at River Downs Park on Saltwater Creek which hardly saw any traffic. I drove past there the other day and looks like they have taken it away but you could probably still launch a kayak there. There is a little cut through creek to the Coomera right there. Have caught plenty of flathead and trevally in the creek and always lost a few lures to what I suspect was Jacks.
