Before you judge someone, paddle a mile in their kayak. That way, when you have judged them, you're a mile away and you have their Kayak.

I'm liaiasing with a contact at Soldier On, http://soldieron.org.au/ and they may be interested in working with us in the future. Like HowAus, they are slowly getting established across the country and are looking at different partnerships.
Have given them Andrew's contact details so hopefully we can get together in an event sometime.

Hey Gents,

This might be odd, but What do you guys actually do? Do you need help?

I am still serving, been everywhere from Asia/Americas/AFG/IRQ etc. So interested in helping if I can.

I have entered a few ABT rounds, have an outback and a PA 14. my wife and I fish as often as we can. Mainly estuary stuff. Based in Sydney.

Hey Dude,
We offer free guided kayak fishing to vets and families, as a form of relaxation, rehab in the outdoors doing what we love to do.
Any help would be appreciated, from just simply passing on that we exist to guiding outings, we are all volunteers, we have Peter Collins from Inverell who is co ordinator for NSW, and we have Qld/Brisbane and working to do some stuff with mates 4 mates in Townsville.
Pm or send me an email and I can pass it on to Peter in NSW or assist you further myself.

HowAus Sydney
We welcome Rod Valdivia to the howaus team, Rod will be leading Sydney, he brings to us a wealth of kayak fishing knowledge.
Rod is currently just shy of 25 years service in the Australian Army. His experiences, knowledge and training coupled with his Yak fishing will be awesome.

To get out on the water in VIC, NNSW, SYD or QLD email howaus@howaus.org

Thanks Andrew. If anyone in the Sydney area would like to volunteer their time and/or equipment in the future, please let me know. Obviously early days at the moment but I am keen to get things rolling in the next few weeks.
