Windamere yak attack

#1 Post by greenfish » Wed Mar 26, 2014 8:39 pm

Hi all, Im keen to get a gathering together to fish Windamere dam in October this year.
I'll will liaise with Sharksaus to put some dates into the calendar so we can endeavor to find a suitable time and nail down a date for our visit.
After 25 years of fishing Windamere dam I have found October to be the most favorable month to catch hungry BIG  golden perch.
In October water temperatures are climbing and fish will be actively moving around looking for food and warm water.
In October both water and air temperature are still keeping the majority of pleasure boaters off the water, ski boats, wake boats and general riff raff. Unfortunately its the sport fishing boats that are dominating at this time of year but at least we have a common interest I guess :?: Generally they are quite a good bunch :beye: :gu:
The weather at this time of year is changeable but if you can fish in the wind, rain or both you will :glad: still catch fish.
On a perfect day it will become embedded in your memory forever.
