South West Rocks Feb/Mar 2019?

#1 Post by XDCammer » Sat Nov 24, 2018 7:37 pm

Who's interested?
Looking at a week stay @ the goal, and a relaxing offshore fish on an AI or 525.
Bit of a long drive for me, 7-8 hrs but, willing to come up again.
Expressions of interest.
Cheers, BobbyB.

Yes Arpie I remember the triathlon is around that time but wasn't sure on dates, thanks for the heads up.

I'll be looking closely at the weather too, as the horrors of 2013 trip never fade. It would be nice to have some of our northern cousins down (JamieD baiting you mate!).

Be good to see you again Arpie.

Cheers BobbyB.

A bunch of Qlders will be down and others dropping in over the month. I am thinking the later in the month, usually the better the weather? We’ve had some shocking luck up there over the years!!

I hope it warms up, damn it's cold here at the moment. I have the fire on in the shed.
Dates for the Sydney guys seem like the go.
Cheers, BobbyB.

Dennis, it would be great to meet you too, finally.

Being down south it's a bit hard to keep driving up.

I hate driving. (specially through Sydney to the north, M7 and M2, going on to Pennent Hills Road)

Cheers mate, I hope you can make it down, BobbyB.

Hi all,

Not sure if you remember me. I was there in 2012 (was it that long ago??) with that terrible weather. Me and BobbyB with all the roads flooded in 100km/h winds. Anyway I'm getting into the offshore yakking again.
So the dates are 16-23 Feb right?
Okay if I come along?

Cheers

Of course I remember you.

Gavin, it does me well to hear from you my brother. That trip was epic, only for hard arses. 3-400mm of rain and 125kph winds, I'll never forget it.

I hope the weather is fine this time, the currents are warm, the water is blue, and the fish are biting.

I have the same ute, but, upgraded AI.

I sharn't be bringing the Blackwolf setup this time. (took me 2hrs to pack up that site in 2013, in the rain)
Never again, not by myself anyways.
But, it is still the best tent for long stays that I have.

It will be more of a quicker pack down event.
South Durras.jpg
I'm still @ Wetspot selling yaks (3 days a week) and having a semi retirement good time.

Bring the Revolution13 mate, a great offshore yak.

Got a mate from Nambucca coming down too. Not sure on the dates.

Will be good to see you again.

Cheers mate, Bobby B.
