Sunday ... Oh, how I would have loved to get out.

I didn't even see the post, but couldn't have gone out anyway.

I spent the day on the tractor moving deco around the place, and polishing up the driveway. Can't get out next weekend either ... maybe the weekend after that ... if I'm a good boy! :grr:

haha bugger that sucks mate
ahwell hope to see you out on the water soon!

i didnt end up going either
boss cracked the whip

in saying that the water clarity in close only seems to be getting better at the moment so probably worth the wait
picked up some leashes and a new combo the other day so keen to get out again

going to give the trolling run past the wreck 100m off the beach a go
and hopefully head out to virago

i did find the further i got out the less anxious i felt about snappy snappys haha

That's usually me too.

I'll stay wide off Cockle Bay ... and become increasingly more alert as I get closer to the mangroves. Same again with Rowes Bay mangroves.

It gets shallow very quick there ... The worst I've seen there though is a bull shark under my feet.

Oh, and by the way ... STAY OUT OF ROSS CREEK!! From my work window, I was watching a snapping handbag in the water behind Queensland Rail. Would have been approx 3m in size when I compare the length of a person lying down.

I could clearly make out the head, then a dip, then long tail. It was confirmed with me when I saw it move UP STREAM towards a few pelicans on the bank and they took off.

Just a helpful tip there... :)

I will do a short paddling trip to Virago coming Sat morning (with or without the misus). Launch at around 5:30 to 6:00. Yes it will be dark, without a white light will be risky. By the time getting to the shoal, it will be first light when the fish is expected to bite. The plan is to throw plastics around for 1 hr and then anchor up somewhere to use up 10 Coles prawns. Should be back to beach by 8:30-9:00. Now I like to launch at the beach access about 50 m north of the male toilet at Pallarenda Boat Ramp. Welcome to come along.
