Cod Classic 2015

Team Yak Fisher

We are back on, please remember to put team yak fisher in the team name section of your entry form, hopefully we win that for a second time and keep the yak representation up and show the Stinkers what yaks are about and that we just won't go away..

The caravan park next door to kyffins has a reservation for campers and some cabins still available I think, big Pete is best to answer that one, but camping at Kyffins reserve is still a good place to be, with some good fishing near camp.

We have a few recent yak champions in the team, so plenty of knowledge will be shared if your new to Lake Mulwala or to cod fishing..

I personally hope to catch my first Cod which after having missed the last two comps (been O/S for a little) need to make up with a few..

Remember Team Yak Fisher is open to all levels of Yak fishos even the ones like me who have all the gear but very little fish Mojo,.. This comp is well run and open to all, your main entry includes a few good meals, plenty of give away by organisers and a true country style carnival spirit.. Evenings at camp are full of stories that are clean enough and controlled to be enjoyed with the family..

Newbies or oldies all welcome.

Re sponsors for the team we have not chased anyone Dow this year, so hopefully we get a few on board before we kick off the weekend in December..

We will post up entry forms as we get them, but if you get them before us please remember to put team yak fisher in Team name area...

Hope to see you all there.

Hey guys,
I have a booking on a 3 bedroom cabin at the same park as last year. Top of the ramp. I got to fill it or cancel.
Who's interested in staying in the cabin ?
Cheers, Pete.

Pete,
I will take a bed if that is OK. Intend to get down there Thursday and out Sunday morning.
Oldyaka had a cabin booked but can not make it down this year. It may still be available.

Hi Pete, I am definitely interested mate in sharing the cabin. Just a little bit early to commit 100% as I virtually live, eat and sleep these days at work but I have put in for some leave at this time. Should be able to commit fully in next 3 weeks. Gaz

Hi Guys,

I’m a late starter but confirmed as running, one bunk for me Pete.

I picked up some new toys from during the week from Rod Mac and Bob, some 120mm to 210mm big boys to try and give Fletch a run this year, super keen to get back on the water after a big leave of absence due to work.

This year really looking forward to actually catching my fish during the comp, last few years have caught great fish after and before the comp including this metre plus last year the day after the comp, looking forward to seeing you guys again this year.

Also attached below is the kayak form from Tony in case anyone hasn't got it.

I probably have to cancel now. Sent away my entry form and money this morning but boss has cancelled all annual leave for 2 weeks today in early Dec to do a plant thaw which is a big job and needs all hands on deck around the clock. These things have a habit of being brought forward or put back so I will wait and see I guess. But cancel me out of the cabin arrangements. I will sleep in a swag if I get a window to get down there. The employers certainly hold the upper hand these days. How times have changed. :grr: Gaz
