I plan on heading down early Thursday morning. Am thinking of stopping off at Burrinjuck and fishing on the way down. If so will probably hit Mulwala 9.30ish PM. Otherwise I will be there at lunch time.

Important Cabin Update.
Guys I've changed the cabin booking to save us a lot of bucks. We now only have the cabin Friday and Saturday night.

I am definately out due to work. Managed to get my entry fee refunded so all good. At least I got a dose of the fresh last week up in the New England. Managed 7 cod, 2 yellas on spinnerbaits and 2 catties on worms over 4 days. All fish were released and I can,t put photos up because we fished out of 2 tinnies lol. Good luck on the weekend and hopefully the weather remains good for you. Cheers Garry

that's excellent, well done mate, was it one of our crew with the 1.02m cod (sounds better than 102cm)?

G'day Team Yak Fishers

Hope you all had a great weekend. We certainly turned the weather on for you, evident by that last magnificent photo

Matt "Spider" Rogers (Corowa / Wagga) was the lucky fella who got the 102cm cod (sounds heaps better than 1.02mtrs!). Backed it up with 2nd place also with an 84cm while his brother managed a 79cm for 3rd.

Was great to have close to 60 fisho's fishing out of "yaks"

Cheers Tony Bennett

Yep as it has been mentioned. Matt Rogers cleaned up with some magnificent fish. Well done to Matt.
My weekend started with a Roo in the grill an hour into the trip. AAaaarrrrrgggghhhh Reminds me call the insurance company......
I stopped at Burrinjuck on the way down and found one little 48cm cod on a point that took a lure I think he was trying to mate with.
Friday prefish had a bit of a look around and found a 58cm cod pretty quick which boosted the confidence for the comp. Unfortunately it was the last one I boated for the weekend.. It wasn't my year this year...
I had a great time as always and am counting the days away already for next years comp. Only 360 more sleeps...
Westyjames, Well done on some nice fish, you should have stepped in next door, said hello and had a beer in the air con. I don't mind the bush camping but was pleased to be away from the heat and dust.
And Bill (Woodsy). What about catching your first ever cod on top water. Fantastic result.
If anyone is thinking about going to a well organised comp that you have a chance of cracking a fish over 100cm on a bit of cheese or chicken or yabby or lure or whatever. pull the finger out you will not be disappointed.
