I imagine finding level ground in many places will be an issue. Wouldn't a hammock be more suited to the job?

Hammocks are great - what I use to survive the tropics. And yeah, you can sleep almost anywhere, directly over water, on crazy slopes, over big boulders, whatever. Most you can take them to the ground as a bivy / tarp if need be too. I'll acknowledge they don't suit everyone however.

I agree with the observation that black wolf tent is not going to be good in the rain with the door design. Also looks to have limited vestibule space - though could bring a tarp as well i guess.

One thing with the 'it is cheap and disposable' observation, that is a valid way to go, but just consider carefully if you want to take that approach with a tent. I mean do you really want a tent that may die on a stormy night in the middle of nowhere?

Having said that, the black wolf will probably be just fine most of the time depending on what you do and how much it gets used.

2 person Fairy Down, not the cheapest tent but I've had mine for 15yrs.
Designed for mountaineering, light weight, very compact and extremely durable with alloy poles (don't get fibreglass poles).
Cheers,
Kym

Fairy Down was a great brand.

Unfortunately Macpac bought them out, reduced their offerings, and then reduced their quality when the whole groups decided to try and compete with Kathmandu.
