June 2015 DAMIKI Photo of the Month - NOW CLOSED

#1 Post by Buj » Sat Jun 06, 2015 10:34 am

Photo Of The Month competion rules have changed...please read.

Image

The 'DAMIKI' June 2015 'Photo Of The Month' competition has now commenced. Please submit entries into this topic for your chance to take out the monthly prize.

The monthly prize pack will include:
•2x KFDU Stickers
•1x KFDU cap

Rob Searing, from 'Searing Tackle', continues to sponsor the KFDU POTM comps by providing a prize pack of products on a quarterly basis. For each yearly quarter the 3 monthly winners will go into a separate polling process so that all members can vote on who they believe has the best quarterly photo. The prize pack will be of around $150 worth of value.

Yearly quarters are...
  • January, February, March.
  • April, May, June. Quarterly comp starts from April 2015.
  • July, August, September.
  • October, November, December

The rules are as follows:
  • All entries must be submitted up until 48hrs of the month ending.
  • Maximum of 2 photo's to be submitted by each member, for each month.
  • Minimum number of 20 entries required to initiate prize packs.
  • A member can only qualify for a win once within a full calendar year (Jan - Dec) starting from January 2015.
  • A kayak/canoe, or a recognisable part of one (not just a paddle or part of a rod holder), must be included in the photo. An eligible picture must also include a fish or a recognisable part of one, or, other marine species.
The KFDU Team will determine whether an entry is suitable for the final voting process. I.e we want to see pics of real kayaks with real fish...not a pic of someone standing outside a Maccas with a shirt on that has a kayak and fish print on it, etc.
  • The submitted photos don't have to be taken during the month that members are placing their entries in, i.e photos from previous months can be used. Once a photo has been submitted it can not be resubmitted in future comps.
  • All photo's entered are to be placed/uploaded via the KFDU attachment option. Links to photo's stored on third party sites (ie photobucket, imageshack, etc) will ultimately disappear, due to account/usage limits. Email Buj buj@kfdu.com.au if you need assistance.
  • All entrants must reside in Australia
  • The winning entrant will be decided by a voting system (or poll), in which all members are encouraged to vote towards. The poll will be created once the competition closes.
If an even draw is obtained from the poll then a further poll will be run for 24hrs, which will only include the entries that achieved the draw.
  • Winning members will be notified, via PM, if their entry is successful in winning the 'Photo Of The Month' comp. They will have two months to reply so their prizes can be posted out via registered mail.
  • The winning photo for each month may also be used for KFDU promotional purposes, such as a calendar for the previous year. For this I will require an email with the original sized photo from the winning member.
  • Photo's are permitted to have basic image retouching applied as long as it's restricted to brightness, contrast, levels, cropping, sharpness correction and colour balancing. Photo manipulation that alters the original content of images, i.e separate sources spliced into one image, elements added or removed from original image, etc will not be permitted.
  • Still grabs from video footage are not permitted.

Only Photos to be displayed in the thread thanks, this saves members trolling through a thread full of comments to see the pics.

We would like to encourage all members to participate and wish everyone the best of luck in the June 2015 'Damiki' 'Photo Of The Month' competition.
Regards,

The comp will be closed soon and we still need another 7 entries to open up the prize pool.
Would be great to see at least seven more pics submitted today.
