As you will know Tessa & myself have been frustrated in our attempts to keep the Sydney club active so if your still interested I'm informing you of another set up thats a lot more active & is setting up sub groups all over NSW there are already a lot of familiar faces in this active group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1643934 ... =bookmarks

Thanks Nigel
I remember the days of the regular monthly fishing when i was just getting into the racing that saw me become dormant here, hopefully that group on facebook works.

That's disappointing
I remember the days of 15 to 20 guys n girls turning up rain hail or shine when I use to attend the Sydney meets when I lived down there with great memories and fun times.

It is unfortunately when we have people saying that they want to be part of a club and take no part or interest what so ever.pavo wrote:That's disappointing

As myself and Nigel we tried hard to get the club back but as most of us know F/B is miles in front and most fellow yakkers have joined .
But for those who still want to get out with the sydney kfdu members your most welcome to post a trip and im sure others will consider to join

Re: active sydney members NSW members
same here man, some people prefer estuary or fresh water fishing, some prefer offshore. just like me in mid north coast fishing club, they always going outing every weekend(you can ask rocky or pfdfarrel) to chase bream or flatties and i never join(not because i dont want to, i just cant flick soft plastic, iam superduperbad
, i rather jig the yakka, rig them up and wait the surprise while smoking.....
)

Thanks for the link Nigel.
It's a shame after all your efforts.
There's such a range of kayak fishing it's maybe hard to coordinate a general group trip.
Perhaps FB is working out because the discussion format makes for more specialised trip objectives. After all, trolling for pelagics / live baiting kings / bream hard bodies and soft plastics / drifting bait for flatties are all very different days out, requiring very different gear and approaches.

Re: active sydney members NSW members
It's definitely just the Facebook vs dedicated web page format that is the issue. Facebook has made things so easy.
PB's are too embarrassing to list at the moment. Hopefully that will change soon.
