Help our farmers

#1 Post by Occy » Wed Aug 01, 2018 9:29 am

No doubt you are all aware of how hard those on the land are struggling with the current drought so thought I'de pas this on. All Bunnings stores in NSW (and possibly other states) are holding a sausage sizzle this Friday to raise funds for our farmers. Check out further details on line and if you can pop in during the day to pick up a snag sanger and perhaps make a donation please do so.
Cheers Paul
Kayak fishing isn't a sport. It's much more serious than that.

....Would be better and make way more if they did it on a saturday not a friday when everyone is at work....

They already have other Fund Raising groups regularly locked in on Sat & Sun, I think, GlassedOff ... so are probably trying to be considerate to them.

I hope everyone rocks up & grabs a sanga & chucks their spare change into the tin!

Our farmers definitely need a hand. Recently traveled through the Maranoa region (work trip) - Dalby, St George & Cunnamulla.
You can see from the pictures just how dry and bleak the outback is.

Our native wildlife are struggling to find a feed , moving into town's where there is vegetation. The emu picture was taken driving into Cunnamulla.

If you can help, please do, every cent makes a difference to a farmer and their family.

Unfortunately the suicide rate for outback/rural Australia has risen dramatically over recent years, we can make a difference!

The Wetspot boys are digging in tomorrow at the local Bunnings (we have one near the shop), 3 sangers each with donations on top.

Just packing the mustard, cheese, and pickles to go with it now. :gu:

Well, there goes the diet!!!!! :beye:
