New Lockdown toys

Seeing it's a bit quiet here I thought I'd show you guys my new lock down purchases. I've always been an offshore fisho and have lacked the interest for estuary species. Since following Sand Flat Fishing Australia on Youtube, I have been bittten by the bug for the top water finesse species (whiting,...

Arpie I'll probably go down to South Durras for a week depending on the weather. There is off shore, and estuary fishing if it's too bumpy outside.
It's a beaut spot.

Re: WANTED - Lowrance Elite 4 CHIRP Fishfinder/Plotter

Dude, I'd just go with the replacement. For the amount of stuffing around, just go with the new sounder with the GPS function. Installation isn't such a big issue, depending on the kayak your installing it. If it's a sit in, just glue it in with Sikaflex 291 or Marine Goop or Sellys silicone (I forg...

Re: rudder foot controls

I'd have to look at it mate (in the flesh). Southern NSW is a bit far I think though. Just thought I'd give a response on behalf of the site. It dosn't seem anyone else will. So for what it's worth. Remember, PE boats can be welded. So if you decide to tinker, it's ok if you drill the hole in the wr...

Nice session Willy. I'm getting into popping for whiting as well. Just bought some Bassday Sugapens HF119s and a new rod. Cant wait to test them out down the coast next month.

Re: Lowrance sounder issues

Check plug for corrosion on male and female ends, spray with Lanox (Bunnings) and carefully clean with a pointed object and a small piece of clean rag. Also check plug pins are not bent and ensure the plug is pushed all the way in.
It's normally a corroded plug.
