Re: Exploring New Public Access Area North Pine Dam

Wow looks like it was a great day and the new access area produces the goods. I have never fished there and have to travel from Toowoomba so is there any weather tips you can give (wind direction to avoid). Are you casting at the edges mate or trolling that lure.?

Re: Sounder size..is there a such a thing as too big.?

Thanks again too all those that have taken the time to comment. NM they price on those units is a bit more then the Lowrance and Lowrance also has the bottom mapping with access to maps from thousands of other users too. I checked Somerset just to see how it works and the detail coverage is sensatio...

Re: Sounder size..is there a such a thing as too big.?

Thanks guys for taking the time to comment. I know bling dont mean a thing when it comes to catching fish but I cant even make out structure on the smaller units. I have a hobbie pa12 so plenty of room as far as a yak goes and am really looking hard at the new Lowrance Hook2 7 or 9 in the triple sho...

Sounder size..is there a such a thing as too big.?

So with failing eyes and the need of a new sounder with side scan I wanted to ask if anyone has put a fish finder on a yak and found it too big. I am thinking 7 or 9 inch because the 4 and 5 inch screens are just not big enough for me too see. Also with all the extra info with the different views bi...

Re: Mirage 180 Drives now available to purchase

I sent them a message yesterday at about 6.30 pm expecting an answer today sometime. The guy rang me five minutes later bloody impressive 6.30 on public holiday. So I asked if it is the latest model they have and what is the newer model that has been mentioned. He said yes the latest and that the ne...

Re: Hobbie Rudder

No it is a 2015 but not a lot of work. If I loosen the pressure right off I can turn it by hand easy all the way from one side to the other. When I tighten the cable it seems to reduce the amount of travel side to side. It might be normal it just seems to waste a lot of room for it to turn.

Hobbie Rudder

I have just got myself a PA12 and have noticed that the rudder only moves about half as much as it has room for under the hull. I know about adjusting the cables and when they are at the extreme of loose it can be moved by hand and it uses full arc but as you tighten the cable the freedom of movemen...
