The lake should be well on the way up by now - started to refill over 4 weeks on 10 July. Good rain since then as well. One of the local papers go a good aerial photo of the lake while it was low - will post image if I can find it. Water temps at 10 degrees - bring on spring :)

Re: Team Yak Fisher 2014.
Don't forget to pack a camera and get a NSW fisheries ruler on your paddle. Just in case you are required to photograph & catch&release any cod over 75cm on the spot. We'll need to check if the 75cm & over fish do or do not get taken to marshalls.

Re: Team Yak Fisher 2014.
Many thanks Pat. Paper copies also arrived in the mail at home today. Interesting to note that the current comp setup will still be using marshalls as per last year. I wonder if they will be looking to change across to the new NSW reg's for cod this year? Text below if from the latest NSW DPI Fisher...

Re: Father and son fishing kayak
I'd suggest having a look for a 2nd hand Hobie Outfitter or Oasis. As others have suggested, people tend to 'grow out of' two seater yaks very quickly. If you are going to paddle the yak then paddling in tandem can also be a challenge - this is where the pedal drives of the Hobie shine and make for ...

Kyffins Reserve also has the habit of catching on fire as a result of poorly maintained camp fires... the last thing the local RFS need on a 30 degree plus day.

Safari H20 Murray - are they any good?
Hi all,
Any reports from owners of the Safari H20 Murray kayaks? These look like they should be a great inland fishing platform - surprised to not have seen more about them posted here.

Re: Jindabyne - 28 or 29 Jun
We were up there for the long weekend and the lake was very high. They have had another 50+mm since then so the lake will be even higher if Snowy Hydro are filling up for power generation over winter.
Stay safe - the water is super cold there at this time of year.
