Re: Blocked fish ladders Napean River

Hey clutch, Only been out on the river once this season so far, back of Belgenny, only 2 fish one arvo 17cm and 23cm, both released. Haven't checked the ladder back of Camden airport. Might go for a paddle or walk over the weekend. What I have noticed over the recent years is more anglers on the ban...

Re: Blocked fish ladders Napean River

Hey there Beardypaul, The blockage I seen and reported to SCA/Water NSW or whatever they call themselves, is at the third or forth chamber from the top. A 3' drop was at the time evident looked like being caused by a large chunk of timber, the water level at this chamber was about the same height as...

Re: Blocked fish ladders Napean River

Been a little over 2 years since last reported blockage. Went for a paddle this morning at first light, Macquarie Grove bridge to weir back of Camden airport (Sharpes weir I think, could be Brownlow Hill). No wonder didn't catch much around Camden this year. 2nd lock/chamber of the fishway is blocke...

Re: Loader Advice..

Here's my tip. The rack you are going for is not only a light weight but not aerodynamic. How much is a quieter rack worth. Worth the extra in my opinion. I'd be going for the Rhino VA 2500 bars and use a Rack and Roll Universal Loading Solution with an extension leg. Pretty much what I have had exc...

Try this link. Very useful for tidal limits of all NSW rivers.

Nice fish there Paul. Your a brave man getting out in the cold.

Write ups say winter fishing is hard but the best bit is there are no crowds.

Re: Easter Fishing - What did you get up to? Me? BREAM!

Gee Roberta that bigger bream has some serious teeth. I tend to throw the larger bream back too, actually rarely keep one. I feel sorry for the bigger ones cause they are so old, feel guilty about ending their life so they go back, I' keep a flatty in the 40 to 55 maybe 60 cms though, all the rest g...

Re: A Little Glenbawn Surface Fun - Hoodoo Broken!

Some quality size bass there Paul. Very good. If they are biting off the top, they'll more than likely take vibes or spinner baits down deep too.

Looking forward to 2 weeks time, pending the weather report for the weekend.

Re: Fishing vest

I got one of these. Piece of mind. No pull cord, no annual checking, several pockets, keeps you warmer on cold days.

Re: Coolendel Mud???

I don't think it would be too muddy. The rain we have been getting is short bursts rather than long and steady and due to that if it were me, I'd be giving it a crack, just have family stuff to do this weekend. Was down at Lake Conjola 2 weekends ago and boy it was tough. Not a great deal of fish to...
