Bribie island surf side.
Hi everyone. I recently got a 4wd and have been considering giving the surf side of Bribie a shot . I would assume it wouldn't be as heavily pressured fishing wise due to the distance most boats would have to travel. I am more interested in chasing reefie but would still enjoy chasing the pelagics. ...

Re: Moreton Bay 11/9/2016
Thanks for the kind words everyone . Since kayaking I am shocked how shallow good snapper like this will go . No boats around makes a huge difference in the shallows and gives more fishing options . Usually my fishing plan when I hit the water is see where the boats are and stay away from the boats ...

Moreton Bay 11/9/2016
G'day all I have been in nutting out my local area for the past 6 months trying to put the pieces together for the snapper puzzle . Had great success early on in my ventures but come June-july size and numbers dropped dramatically . The action has picked up over the 3-4 weeks and had been starting t...

Re: Fishing focused kayaks.
Depends what sort of fishing you do... a hobie vs a stealth isnt really a comparision they are in most cases used for totally different things. This pretty much nails it . You really need to know what you want out a kayak and it comes down to what sort of fishing you do and how much $ you want to s...

Re: Fishing focused kayaks.
I only got into yakking last year so I have little experience but am a angler come kayaker . I bought a second Viking profish 45 last year for about $800 and have been thoroughly impressed with it . Very stable and easy to paddle , good layout . I use the well in the front to keep 1- 3 big plano tac...

Re: My Fishing Jet Ski
I have seen you fishing near garrets before , thought it was odd to see a jetski slow down and give a wave and nod , now I know why lol
Looks like beast , I am sure you will have many memorable sessions.

Re: Treble Hooks
I get hooks from scizz tackle , good price and quality hooks . When I get home from fishing I drop lures into a bowl of warm water , dry them of with a paper towel then give the hooks a squirt with lanoline . No rust and doesn't affect the bite at all . I read the tip here I think , tried it and hav...

In the market for a new rods .
Well I didn't think I would ever be in the market for new rods ! On the weekend I was getting my old trusty 1-3kg and 3-6kg blackdiamond flats ranger rods ( blackdiamond no longer make rods :( ) out of my car when my gorgeous little 5yo girl shut the door on them as I was getting them out , both sna...

Re: Gday from Brissy
I had boat for 6-7 years but sold it when my little ones come along as I just didn't have time to go out . 4-5 years later I found I had a little more time but didn't want to fork out for another boat so invested in a Yak and like you got hooked bad lol . I find my self out 1-2 days a week , just so...

Re: Gday from Brissy
So, I ended up buying a Moken 10 Lite not long after my original post. About mid march. Now I have been hunting for something a little longer to hit local reefs - Raby bay, Wello, Scarborough, etc. I have just bought a Viking 400 lite which i hope to pick up by the end of the week. Looking forward ...
