Re: Which paddle

Interesting discussion this. Raises a smile on my dial as I use a 2015 Hobie Rev 13 for fishing but race Long Rec multisport kayaks (6m long) in the NSW Marathon Series and a Stellar SR Surfski (Harbour Series). Oh...also have a Mirage 580 Sea Kayak. Trying to find a single blade that does all thing...

Re: Hobie Revo 16 or Stealth Profisha 525

Having owned and fished a Stealth Profisha 575 and now a 2015 Revo 13 all I can say is chalk and cheese. Problem I had with the Stealth is that it was such an awesome and fun boat to paddle offshore that I started to use it more for recreational purposes as a surf ski rather than for fishing. This l...

Re: 2016 Revolution 13

G'day Mackayak, The new seat is excellent, I can't imagine any way to improve it. The glide mirage drive is silky smooth, I feel it has been money well spent. I doubt I will use the seat set to its highest adjustment, I like to keep my centre of gravity low. When I am pedalling I keep the seat on i...

Re: revo 13 with ama kit guestion

Hi Mick Thanks for that Is it possible to change the height settings whilst on the water? The vantage seat is a vast improvement by your experience then Chèers Yeah mate, the vantage seat is brilliant. No more wet bum or fiddling around with the straps to adjust the back support. I find sitting sli...

Re: Hobie 2015 Outback

Have a 2015 Revo 13 and used to have a 2013 Outback which my Son "borrowed" then sold to buy a 2015 Outback... that's another story :?: My two bobs worth... yes the turbo fins make a Big difference as does the sail rudder. Lowrance 4X chirp would be well suited to the new Outback. Anchor trolley and...

Re: Tallow dam

Yawn. It's like saying Lake Jindabyne or Eucumbene has Trout, Windemere has Yellowbelly, Wivenhoe has Bass or Awoonga has Barramundi. Doesn't mean the white bucket brigade are going to come marching in and rape those places. You've got more chance of finding the brigade fishing the channel at Lake ...

Re: jetski v kayak

Jetskis are the bane of my life. Why is it I can sit a couple of kilometres offshore minding my own business fishing and these wankers (and lets be fair most of the younger ones are) have to make a beeline for me and go hurtling past. A half hour later (presumably because they are running out of fue...
