Fly Kayak Sails in Sydney. Tel. 0407 466 445

If they can do it for a Prowler 4.3, I reckon they can do one for the 4.1.

Re: gday from Cornwall...........

Hi Ray, Welcome to KFDU. Being a member of Welsh Kayak Fishing (and an expat Taffy, now fair dinkum naturalised Aussie) I am always impressed with the dedication of you UK kayak fishos in regards to weather, tides and temperature. Takes big kahoonas to go out fishing in the middle of Winter over the...

Re: Warning to all fishing bellambi scare with great w s

Holy crap I was out off bellambi the day before this happened... you've got me worried now. I've read a few reports about the GWS at bellambi they all seem to be around Winter time when the cuttlefish start popping up. I'm heading out off Wollongong tomorrow morning if anyone is keen, might need so...

Re: When a shark makes a 4.3m Kayak feel to small

A couple of months ago 100 metres out from the entrance to Wollongong Harbour I was cruising over some 2m + swells heading out on my Adventure Island when that grey green tiger shark dorsal fin rose above the surface on my right. No dramas, then the tail fin broke the surface nearly four metres back...

Re: which type of wetsuit for fishing?

Because I paddle surf skis and race competitively all year round I find that my winter paddling rig is excellent to use when kayak fishing and perfect for my Adventure Island. My preferred winter paddling gear is Vaikobi V Cold and V Cold plus (5C and lower). Not cheap, but excellent quality and kee...

Re: Putting your cart back on at the ramp

I just turn my Adventure Island or Outback stern first at the boat ramp and insert the cart. Buoyancy at the bow (in the water) enables you to lift the stern up and insert the cart without getting arms wet and with no difficulty whatsoever. Quite easy to do. But will admit the design put forward is ...

Re: I Spy With My 2015 Hobie TI...

Looking good Rob and I bet you are happy that the wait is over (and well worth it!!!)

See you took your Island for its maiden voyage at the exact same place as me. Great place to learn how to sail an AI and TI.

Looking forward to catching up with you under sail offshore.

Cheers,

Re: HOBIE OUTBACK 2015

Went with my son on Saturday to pick up his new fully optioned olive 2015 Outback after a thee month wait too. Will admit it is the bees "Knees" compared to my 2013 Outback... that seat looks awesome to pedal and to fish from. The new Mirage drive with the turbo fins looks the goods. Such a smooth a...

Re: Dead Again - Lowrance Elite 4x

Exact same problem, with the exact same model Lowrance Elite 4x after a few outings. Waste of money!

Turned me off sounders altogether. Fortunately I saved my offshore marks and way points on my gps, or I simply use Eyesight 101.
