Re: Anchor Rope Holder

You didn't mention your kayak. If you have a pedal kayak, you may never use the anchor. Pedaling to remain on-the-spot is safer than anchoring. You don't need heavy rope in a kayak. Dive reels are very tidy, simple to use and don't twist the cord as you wind on. There's a three part session on youtu...

Re: Kart for Hobie Tandem Island

Information wasn't hard to find on the Hobie forum. Seven pages of reading should help KFDU members even if it does not help LODO.

After looking at the youtube issue I didn't look at the work but highly recommend the highlights at the start of the long video. Looks like you had a great time.

Re: Woolwash Barra MASSIVE boof heart attack!

(the link since I'm having trouble seeing them come up on my end) You may see it if you remove the 's' from https in the URL bar (or you may not - mine gives a message "blocked by an extension" and I could not be bothered working out which extension). When you do this, you may be logged out! As bes...

Re: GPS apps on phones

Sorry guy's, been flat out like a lizzard drinken, had a walk yesterday and remembered to use the said app 😂, 33 mins battery drained 5%. Would post a screenshot of info from the app but it's too big to format to share apparently 🤨. Cheers woody. Thanks. Your words more than adequately cover it wit...

Be wary where you get into the water in the warm water months.

Re: TUTORIAL - Inserting Images Into Your Post..

Thanks Adam. Knowing your forum experience I thought you would be well versed with image size restrictions but possibly a different message being delivered by a change of forum software could be misleading. Yes, the fish were upside down in the photo - far from artistic! Upside down can be artistic...

Re: TUTORIAL - Inserting Images Into Your Post..

Possibly your photo size is a little tool large to embed? https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=1326565 Note that phpBB post relates to a question by someone with administrator access. Regular users don't have access to raise file size limits on KFDU. Regular users can work around photo si...

Re: GPS apps on phones

Avoid 'Boating Maps & Fishing Point Charts' app. If its not useless, its only one step away. The tracking part uses Google Maps which gives a tracking line in your history that indicates is records location (smart?) continually rather than continuously. To get a track line like Tony Stott's example ...

Re: GPS apps on phones

Welcome to the forum Woody. That's a question that's been stumping me for ages. I can't give you an answer other than fitness tracking apps will do that but the ones I've tried so far all seem to chew through battery too fast to record a lengthy session. My phone goes from full battery to very low i...

Re: Who keeps getting logged out? Please do this poll

I know of a browser (Puffin) that does its work in a different way (in the cloud instead of on the computer, which makes it incredibly fast on low-spec machines compared to the all other popular browsers I tried - a lot!). This post is testing it now. Unfortunately Puffin don't yet have a MacOS vers...
