OK let's have it... What happened?

#1 Post by musty » Wed May 13, 2020 3:15 pm

Where did the site go for a couple of weeks (or more)?
I was worried it was gone unceremoniously like Sydney Angler did- just dissappear over night with no explanation or courtesy to anybody especially long term contributors, with a wealth of information lost.

I'm glad it is back :lek:

Glad to have it back, Musty - we all assumed it was dead & gone.

I am still getting 'kicked out' between swapping pages, which is really annoying - but just so glad to have our history back!

A word of warning - if there are any pages that you specifically love - save it as a PDF so you have a record of it yourself .... I know that I am!!

cheers

Roberta

Hi Roberta, It’s good to see your getting out and anongst them. I’m planning on a jewie session this weekend which will be my first for a long time.
And yes, its great to have the forum back. It might take a while to ramp back up though. I will report back if I do any good over the weekend.

OK Musty , you have the right tides, I take it you are going to the usual area. I want to see a positive outcome. it could mean the difference between me fishing Georges or Lake Illawarra on Monday, Good luck mate.

Actually mate Im in two minds...
I had originally planned to go today however still tossing up between jewies in the river which is no certainty, or stocking up on some flathead fillets in the bay which is more probable.
Anyway, I have time to prepare today so tomorrow its ON!
Will keep you posted

OOOOHHHHHH!!!!! It's back on, great news!
It was probably the virus. Great catch report Arpie, I hope your well and all is good. I'm still waiting to take a weeks trip down to the coast, as soon as the restrictions are lifted I'm down there quick smart with some new toys.(Tackle post pending, I've been bitten by the Diawa, Nitro, and Bassday Sugarpen bug.)
I was worried my reports would be gone for ever as I didn't keep my photos of my old AIs and modifications. I shall start taking screen shots today.
Welcome back all.
Cheers, BobbyB.

Glad to see KFDU back.

Nice to see Roberta's pix. Its been a while! But I'm very surprised with all the soft plastics attached to fish! Most unusual for the Crankbait specialist.

hahaha - i surprised myself with the grubs, Ozzy ..... then they only WANTED the grubs!! Last bag of that one I have tho! :( The good thing is that there are 16 in a pack - so even the toads eating some & fish bitingh the tails off, I still had plenty!

Hey Bobby - where will you go on the coast? South Coast? Have fun. Instead of screen shotting - just make each post a 'PDF' - on a Mac it is easy - just open your thread. Hold down Command and P to bring up the 'print page' and instead save it as a PDF! Older systems, you go to the left bottom corner & click on the drop down there & choose PDF. Newer systems should just open it ready to save as a PDF. If it says 'print' instead, go to the "More Setting" and open it in Preview, then save as a PDF. Depending on the number of pics in your post - it can be up to 20+ pages!!

Good to see you again Graham.

How did you go, Musty? I hope you got your Jewie!!

cheers

No jewies unfortunately. Took the kids out on the boat Saturday- bottom of the tide for two hrs in the river. They loved it but no fish
Sunday went out with a mate and it was very slow going. We managed 3 squid and about 6 flathead between us in a 5 hrs session. Largest going 55cm. Plenty of tailor out in the bay.
Didn't get any pics, I figured everyone's seen enough 40cm flatheads by now.
It was just nice to get out and back into what feels like normality.

Arpie I'll probably go down to South Durras for a week depending on the weather. There is off shore, and estuary fishing if it's too bumpy outside.
It's a beaut spot.
