Stealth Duo Mojo continues Coffs Harbour =VIDEO

#1 Post by tommo1 » Wed Jun 27, 2018 10:25 pm

G'day all

First post in many moons. I've not posted in a long time and my fishing has been sporadic at best. Life has been busy with a few curve balls thrown in.
Recently I've been feeling the urge to get back in the seat.

My girlfriend's 15 year old daughter loves fishing and asked me if I would take her out on the Stealth duo. Now recently I suffered a slight chainsaw accident to my left hand and although it's healing I did not feel comfortable paddling a double kayak just yet. I asked Yaqdoq if he would be the engine fot the Duo and I will paddle my 495 and be the support kayak for the Duo. If something went wrong with my hand then I would only have to worry about myself and not worry about a 15 year old. I can think of no one I will trust more than Yaqdoq

Plans were made. We would have a teenager start to beat the worst of the cold. It was a cold morning but thanks to a big high pressure system over us we had clear blue skies.

We launched from Diggers at 9am. We headed out to Macauleys. I did not need to worry my left hand was feeling fine and I was coping well.
Now we could not use our normal call signs. So Paul and Milly was team "goldilocks" ( taking into account Milly and Pauls gorgeous long blond hair) and I would be "mamabear".

It was a gorgeous day with perfect conditions.

I managed to find a few livies and shared with Paul and Milly.
Not long and my rod went off. I radioed Goldilocks reporting "the porridge is hot the porridge is hot"
They were close so I handed my rod over to Milly and took Pauls rod ( get your mind out the gutter). Milly fought the fish like a champ and soon a good size spotty was landed.

I managed to find a few more slimeys and shared with Goldilocks

Goldilocks headed North. I started to follow only to have my paddle interupted when my slimey grew some big fins
I landed the ultimate in tunas
A stinky mactuna :blah:
Mactuna.jpg
I sent out another slimey and my radio crackled " Stinky poo stinky poo, Goldilocks on"
After another great fight Milly landed her 2nd spotty mackerel
This one was a good size better

we headed back to the beach

Goldilocks and Pinkypoo had a great day on the water and I'm glad to be back

Cheers Tommo

Great report Tommo and well done on the mackerel.

I’ll be chasing snapper at Wenonah headland tomorrow. Might take some wire along as well now!

Thanks guys

Forgot to mention the 2nd spotty had a friend chasing it to the yak. Paul had to give the hammerhead a nudge with the gaff to get him away

Milly took it all in her stride

Cheers Tommo

Nice work Tommo,

A day on the water with some fish caught is a great result.
