Winter Afternoon Jewfish

#1 Post by westie » Mon Aug 19, 2019 12:40 pm

late start today & with the Wind predicted decided to find sheltered water & target Jewfish on Soft vibes & soft plastics.
Been a bit of a tough bite lately with the rivers in need of a good flush.
Despite heavy water traffic i managed to land this nice jewie on the zerek fish trap vibe saving me from the dreaded Donut.
Rod was in the rod holder when it got hit as i was in the middle of a jighead swap on another rod. did land a few small flathead
& undersize bream before the wind made it uncomfortable.
Still was an enjoyable arvo spent on the water.must admit i dont mind the arvo sessions in Winter....

cheers
