Last week I had reason to visit one of my bass rivers. Not to fish though unfortunately.
I thought I would attach this image to show just how bad the state of our rivers is. In normal times the water is only a metre or so below the level of the road way and views up and down the river show that it has become just a series of pools.
It will take a heck of a lot of rain to get this river back in shape. A sad situation.
Fingers crossed for a major rain event soon.
Cheers
Ken

Re: No wonder we aren’t fishing the fresh
It is very sad that large parts of Australia haven't received any substantial rain for a while. It rained here at Pottsville through the night and is still raining now but it is mostly storm rain and probably won't last. The Tweed Shire here is presently on Level 2 water restrictions but according to the Council, Level 3 and 4 water restrictions are most likely coming sooner than later.
