Hinze Dam ...winter into spring

#1 Post by Dodge » Thu Sep 27, 2018 8:43 pm

On a fairly regular basis a few older kayakers and mates in boats fish Hinze Dam and these pics show some recent results over the last couple of months, and usually a mix of lure fishing and bait among the tall timber practicing a mix of both fish for home and C&R.

In the last couple of days Qld Health has warned fish tested from the dam are high in mercury at present and now suggest use C&R approach for fishing there.

Yeah Dodge has it right, what a great place to have a fish and paddle or pedal. This is a real fun morning with some fishing, talking, joking and morning tea. If you're around give any of us a pm to find out when we're heading out. Les
It's okay not to be okay...
