Popped my Golden Perch cherry at Windamere

#1 Post by Tarpon5000 » Tue Oct 30, 2018 2:20 pm

A mate of mine has been at me for ages to try my hand at yellowbelly fishing so off we went last weekend to camp and fish at Windamere.

I have never been dam fishing before so just that in its self was pretty cool to experience and then we started to see huge yellas and cat fish cruising the shallows and not long after i caught my first little dude.

and soon after i had the biggest of the day on the end of my line

and then right on dusk i dropped 3 really good fish and had a small consolidation prize to round off the day

All in all it was an awesome weekend and cant wait to go back.

A few Yellas were landed at Lake St Clair last weekend ...... I was actually TRYING to land one at one stage by retrieving faster than normal!
