I wouldn't mind betting he wasn't actually taking the lure , but simply caught by bad luck swimming past as the lure was retrieved . Funny photo

This was sight fishing on another level. Pin point accuracy.

I was actually pedalling across a shallow area while exploring and i had the rod lying in the kayak with the lure dragging about 30cm under the surface (not in an attempt to catch anything). Picked the rod up to start casting and that little fella was pinned in his side on the tip of the hook. Not complaining, it means i caught something that outing lol.

Wild Yellow belly 37cm.

There is nothing more relaxing than a day on the water in a Kayak.

My son caught a fish about that size in PNG when he was 4. Got it with a hand spear and it fitted between the prongs. Not a mark on it. Was worth a laugh all right.
