new 2500-3000 reel

#1 Post by johnny » Sat Aug 17, 2019 7:53 am

Yes,I'm alive.Great to see Pommy Nigel around too.Arpie.

Looking for a quality reel 2500-3000 lightweight..as heavy reels wreck the feel of a light rod.To fit to a belize gomoku 2 rod.Yep,I lub long tine light jigging rods.I'm a tragic for toys.

This way I can get a squid,,a kingy then a chopper all on one rod.

Is stradic ci4 getting replaced by a new model?
Got lotsa them....n freams

What about daiwa….?any reel under 200grams with decent drag, lotsa technology n reliability

I have bought a Daiwa Exeler LT 2500. Haven't used it yet, but light, 9 kg drag. LT range is light and tough, slightly smaller than previous Daiwa 2500s. Lip of spool is modified so it more like the Shimano shape. Worth a look.
YAK PBs... Flathead 75 cm, Silver Trevally 55 cm, Tailor 50 cm, Australian Salmon 50 cm, Wild Bass 44 cm, Bream 32 cm, Estuary Perch 32 cm, one squid, one pike
