Saturday Morning flick

#1 Post by micks74 » Sat Nov 22, 2014 10:36 pm

thought id add a report after my 6.30 morning session today. A beautiful morning out from Devlins Rd, there were already a couple of cars in the carpark and I headed up towards Richmond until changing my mind & headed south away from the crowds and past the shallow rapids for a change.
the morning started pretty slow, with only 1 fish up until about 9am then it came alive, after a few lure changes I dead set must have pulled 8-9 small bass from this hole. Its funny to see some of these tough little guys punching way over there weight. on my way back I didn't want to wast any opportunity to have a lure in the water so trolled back and added another few to the tally. I was also surprised to pull in a little herring on a lure too. I might take a few slices of bread next time, a few beefy carp lurking around, must be close to a metre long. No record breakers today, my biggest fish id say less than 25cm, but must have pulled 12-15 in total so happy with that.

I have to get me up to one of these fresh water areas! Seems like there are fish everywhere, well until I get there anyway...
